When you read this letter I will have died. Cuando leas esta carta, yo habré muerto. Agustín García Simón Nuevos Tiempos. 136.
THE BOOK
Twelve stories of the recovered memory. Of that nake and austere Castile of the 50s, where life and death compose the line of a horizon marked in the time and the destiny. Twelve stories which are a chanto to the real prose; to the word like scaffolding of the art; to the magic capacity of makinf fables with the daily events. The precise, worrying and memorable portrait, of a world filled with aching, anonymous prominent figures and, for this reason, emaciated nearby. Amazing real.
IN BRIEF
"Something of antiquity and ruin, of brilliance and decadence, late in Agustín García Simónfictions, a look that re-composes the past from the degraded actuality of its mirror, a hostile time that nourishes the conscience of the losses and the disappearances, between the suffering and the melancholy."
